Meet Josalyn….
Josalyn Williams is the founder and lead researcher of Summit View Insights. For over 15 years, Josalyn has worked in various capacities in the academic, non-profit, government, and government consulting sectors. In 2020, she received her PhD in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder. She has worked for and with organizations such as Navajo Nation, the Girl Scouts, the National Conference of State Legislatures, the University of Colorado Boulder, and CALCO Consulting Group. She has collaborated with and consulted for state legislatures, federal departments and agencies, and tribal nations.
In academia, Josalyn completed research on human attitudes and behavior and institutional design. Her research is rooted in a multimethod approach and she is experienced in research design, dataset development and management, statistical analysis, survey development and implementation, administrative dataset development and organization, experimental research, interviews, and focus groups.
In her work with non-profits, Josalyn was responsible for the development, implementation, analysis, and reporting of multiple surveys of elected officials, program evaluation of youth programs, and development of youth programs with measurable outcomes. In her non-profit work, Josalyn also provided technical research assistance to state legislatures.
In her work with government consulting, Josalyn has organized an administrative dataset of federal data, completed a barrier analysis of federal data, and organized and led interviews of participants in federal programs. Josalyn was also a co-collaborator on multiple data driven reports for the federal government.
Josalyn’s work experience outside of research includes leadership development training, university teaching, writing policy briefs and white papers, and youth program management and development in underserved communities.
